This is another fix for that dreaded error;

\\Comp_Name is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource.
Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have access permissions.

Logon failure: the user has not been granted the requested logon type at this computer.


This is yet another fix to get your computers sharing files again. The first fix I posted is here. There are some pics to help you along. OK the first thing you need to do is open the Control Panel. I have mine set to the classic style with large icons, so it looks like this.

Then Open Administrative tools.

Now Open Local Security Policy, Local Policies And Then Security Options.

Open Network Access: Do not allow anonymous enmumeration of SAM accounts and shares.

Change the setting from Enabled to Disabled.

Click Ok.
Exit Local Security Setting.
Exit Administrative Tools.
Exit Control Panel.
Other computers should be able to find the computer on the local network and access it’s resources now.
